LAUREN KAY MOORE
Sept. 26, 1954 – March 6, 2020

Lauren K. Moore passed away Monday, March 6, 2020, at the age of 65, while at the Ida Emmerson Hospice House, Eureka. She was born in Arcata to Loren Robert Moore and Jeanette Maxine Hubbard.

Lauren graduated from Arcata High 1972, was in Jobs Daughters, Bethel #116, and attended Junior College in San Diego. She did not have any children.

Lauren held several jobs during her adult life, Georgia-Pacific/Louisiana-Pacific, Samoa, CA, Humboldt State University, Arcata, CA, Pest Control, Springfield, OR, Tishman Construction Corp., San Diego, CA., and Roel Construction Co., San Diego, CA.

Lauren was preceded in death by her Mother, Jeanette Smyth, Grandparents, William “Bill” & Birdie Moore, and Niece Tracee DeMello.

She is survived by her Father, Robert Moore, and Sisters: Lynn (Dennis) DeMello, Penney Sabourin and Niki Moore. Nephews: Troy (Corina) DeMello, and Jaret DeMello. Great Nephews: Zachary Mulcahey, Blake DeMello, Jackson DeMello, Caleb Olson, Andrew Sabourin, Bryce Sabourin, Stone Sabourin, Franklin Grosch, and Joey Gatlin. Great Nieces: Addison DeMello and Rosaleigh Sabourin.

She was very fortunate to have great friends in Cindy Savage-Hino and her husband Dr. Stan Hino, and Pam Amarant-Stageman. Her family would like to thank the many people who helped make her final days as comfortable as possible — St. Joseph Hospital staff, and Hospice of Humboldt staff for her health care.

No services will be held, but donations to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Humboldt would be appreciated made in her memory.
