From the Humboldt Waste Management Authority:

Due to an unforeseen interruption of service with HWMA’S hazardous waste transportation and disposal contractor, HWMA’s Household Hazardous Waste facility located at 1059 W. Hawthorne Street in Eureka will be temporarily closed during the holiday season for a two-week period from December 20th, 2021 to January 3rd 2022.

HWMA and its staff apologizes for this temporary interruption and asks that residents and small business store hazardous waste material responsibly during this time. Staff will continue to work as quickly as possible to ensure these services are restored.
