Caltrans release: 

On Monday we will be turning on our new traffic signal at Fourth and L streets in Eureka along southbound U.S. 101.

This safety enhancement was constructed to reduce collisions and improve pedestrian access in the area. The signal will be time-coordinated with others in the area so wait times along this stretch should not be significantly impacted.

If just one collision is prevented this will be a great addition for the traveling public.
