Drug Task Force Arrests One for Alleged Fentanyl Dealing Out of Harris Street Home

On November 1st, 2021, special agents
with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF), with the assistance
of the Eureka Police Department Problem Oriented Policing Team (POP)
conducted surveillance on a residence in the 1800 block of Harris St.
in Eureka. Agents had received information that the resident, Katelyn
Hansen (30 years old), was selling fentanyl. Agents watched one
suspected customer arrive at the house, leave after a few minutes,
and then watched him conduct a suspected drug transaction with
another customer waiting around the corner from the residence. Agents
authored a search warrant for the residence after viewing the drug
transactions.
During
the service of the search warrant Hansen was detained without
incident and was found to be the solo occupant of the residence.
Agents conducted a search of the home and located approx. 1.5 ounces
of fentanyl, a digital scale with fentanyl residue on the scale,
packaging materials, and approx. 6 grams of methamphetamine.
Hansen
was transported to the Humboldt County Jail where she was booked for
the following charges:
