From the Humboldt County Drug Task Force:
On November 1st, 2021, special agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF), with the assistance of the Eureka Police Department Problem Oriented Policing Team (POP) conducted surveillance on a residence in the 1800 block of Harris St. in Eureka. Agents had received information that the resident, Katelyn Hansen (30 years old), was selling fentanyl. Agents watched one suspected customer arrive at the house, leave after a few minutes, and then watched him conduct a suspected drug transaction with another customer waiting around the corner from the residence. Agents authored a search warrant for the residence after viewing the drug transactions.
During the service of the search warrant Hansen was detained without incident and was found to be the solo occupant of the residence. Agents conducted a search of the home and located approx. 1.5 ounces of fentanyl, a digital scale with fentanyl residue on the scale, packaging materials, and approx. 6 grams of methamphetamine.
Hansen was transported to the Humboldt County Jail where she was booked for the following charges:
11366.5 H&S Operating or maintaining a drug house
11351 H&S Possession of fentanyl for sale
11377 H&S Possession of methamphetamine
