Many firearms are off the streets of Alton, a place in Humboldt County | HCDTF

Humboldt County Drug Task Force press release: 

On October 26th, 2021, special agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF) served a search warrant in the 2800 block of Van Duzen Rd. in Alton. Agents had been investigating the homeowner, Brodie Houseworth (27 years old), for several weeks for narcotics sales and firearm trafficking.

Agents detained Houseworth on the front porch of his residence. Agents located a loaded 5 shot .22 caliber Derringer in the back pocket of Houseworth’s jeans. Agents conducted a search of Houseworth’s residence and located 30 additional firearms inside the house along with 5 individually packaged bags of methamphetamine, 2 digital scales, and packaging materials for drug sales.

Houseworth was arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Jail where he was booked for the following charges:

  • 11370.1 H&S Possession of a controlled substance while armed
  • 11378 H&S Possession of methamphetamine for sale
  • 11366 H&S Operating or maintaining a drug house
