Check out the newest piece of equipment now being carried by our patrol deputies! The Bola Wrap is a handheld device that propels a 7.5 foot Kevlar cord, wrapping a persons legs or arms. It’s meant to be used during crisis situations as an alternative to pain compliance tools (such as pepper spray, taser, or less lethal shotgun) in order to take an individual safely into custody. As you’ll see in the video, the Bola Wrap is LOUD and has a startle effect on the individual, but does not cause prolonged or intense pain.
