Caltrans District One has this to say on its Facebook page:

ROUTE 96 OPEN TO ONE-WAY TRAFFIC CONTROL (8/18 UPDATE): Route 96 is OPEN to one-way traffic control between Hoopa and Weitchpec. Travelers should expect delays of up to 30 minutes, though longer holds may be necessary to accommodate firefighting, maintenance and other emergency operations.

Conditions can change quickly, and the road may be closed again if necessary for safety. Please follow the directions of flaggers, allow extra time and remain patient. Crews are working to keep traffic moving safely on Route 96, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
