Her family, now including two brothers, Bob and Bill, eventually moved to Cuyama. Glennita attended Maricopa High School and went to work for the Forestry Service after graduation, where she met Tom Harrison in 1957. The two were married in August 1959.

In 1965 they adopted their daughter, Michele and soon moved to Northern California, first to Redwood Valley, then in Eureka in 1983 and finally settling in Fortuna in 1990.
Glennita led a full life. She liked to stay busy and was the hub of her extended family and friends, maintaining extensive correspondence and always remembering special days. She had several jobs that she enjoyed including school secretary, bookkeeper, medical records clerk and retail positions. She was curious and tried some jobs “just to see what it would be like” such as working in a factory and in the pear sheds in Ukiah.
Being curious, Glennita also had many hobbies. She loved to cook and teach others to cook, bake and preserve. She enjoyed painting and drawing, and she had a life long love of music, reading, crafting, writing, camping and gardening.
Central to Glennita’s life was her Christian faith, which she demonstrated in generosity and caring for others. At the time of her passing, Glennita was a member of Campton Heights Baptist Church.
