Brief Fernbridge Jumper Scare Proves to be Non-Emergency

The California Highway Patrol and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office scrambled to Fernbridge a moment ago after they received a report of a man “staggering into traffic” on the bridge, then possibly jumping off it.

When they arrived, they found the person in question about a half a mile west of the bridge, on the Ferndale side. KHUM’s Bayley Brown reports that Sheriff’s Office deputies were interviewing the man on the side of Highway 211 a few moments ago, and seem to have since driven away with him.
