UPDATE, 10:44 a.m.: Northbound traffic in the safety corridor is confined to one lane at this point. Scanner traffic notes that one patient has been extricated and transported to the hospital while another is in the process of being similarly rescued.

Original Post: As coastal Humboldt takes a precipitation pummeling, CHP Watch informs us that emergency personnel are responding to a reported injury traffic collision just south of the Indianola Cutoff. Dispatchers note that two tow trucks and ambulance services are en route. Scanner traffic speaks of the possible need for extrication.
