Medevac Dispatched to Motorcycle Crash on Highway 101 Near Legend of Bigfoot

UPDATE, 5:45 p.m.:

LoCO reporter Andrew Goff is on scene, and reports the crash is just a few miles from the Redwood Run biker party in Piercy. Goff reports that the victim appeared to be an older man. However, was unable to obtain anymore info as the California Highway Patrol Officers demanded press credentials.

A medical helicopter has been dispatched to the scene of a motorcycle crash on Highway 101 in Garberville.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the collision occurred sometime around 4:30 p.m. just north of the Legend of Bigfoot.

Traffic is being diverted through the southbound lanes.

According to scanner traffic, the victim may have a fractured leg.

More information will be posted when it is available.
