Mystery Car Flips Over Into a Ditch Near Manila
Photos: Andrew Goff.
A sports utility vehicle flipped off Highway 255 and into a watery ditch a few minutes ago. The California Highway Patrol, the Arcata Fire District and ambulances are at the scene.
Fears that someone may have been injured the crash were assuaged when a person driving an RV returned to the scene. He told rescuers that the car, which he was towing, seemed to somehow become detached while he was driving to the Samoa Cookhouse for dinner.
His vacation is on hold for the time being, he said.
