Multi-Car Collision on Highway 101 Near Loleta; Roadway Blocked

LoCO’s CHP Watch notes an incident that occurred on Highway 101 just north of the Loleta Drive exit involving multiple vehicles. According to dispatch logs, below, the collision occurred when a red 4-door sedan collided with the center divider. Other vehicles were reported involved to a lesser extent.
The driver of the sedan sustained a “bump on his head.” His car was smoking after the collision. No other significant injuries were reported.
Currently one lane is closed to traffic while tow trucks clear the scene. Updates below.
