(UPDATE) HIGHWAY SHUT: Rollover Crash in Safety Corridor Stops Northbound Traffic

UPDATE, 3:38 p.m.: The Outpost’s Andrew Goff, at scene, tells us that the tow truck seems to nearly have the scene cleared up. Northbound traffic is being diverted back toward Eureka via the turnaround in front of Mid-City; southbound traffic is, of course, backed up by the influx from the northbound lanes.
Humboldt Bay Fire Batallion Chief Chris Jelinek tells the Outpost that two people, who were both in one of the involved vehicles, have been taken to the hospital on backboards with moderate injuries. Occupants of the other vehicle were uninjured, Jelinek said.
