Highway 299 Closed After Vehicle Careens Into Trinity River
A serious traffic collision just east of Big Bar has closed both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 299. According to LoCO’s CHP Watch the incident involved a single vehicle which left the roadway and ended up in the Trinity River.
Neither CHP nor Caltrans have indicated when the highway might be open again.
