Press release from the Humboldt County Joint Information Center:

Humboldt County’s total COVID-19 case count rose to 102 as one additional positive was confirmed today. The means of transmission for this new case is under investigation.

Today’s lab results from the Humboldt County Public Health Laboratory are available at humboldtgov.org/COVIDTestResults. The OptumServe public testing site in Eureka is closed on weekends, so results will be reported tomorrow. Data from all other sources, including commercial laboratories, is reported each Friday.

NOTE: Total testing numbers, in the “To Date” section below, are all screwed up. That’s because the county is no longer able to track exactly how many total tests have been conducted, due to ambiguities with commercial testing. The county Joint Information Center tells the Outpost it will have a statement about this sometime soon.
