Internet service is out in area of the Eureka & North Scanner feed location. Several Suddenlink trucks are still working on the line down the road from me as of 2:15 a.m.
Meanwhile, shortly after 11:00 p.m. Weds night there was a reported multiple shooting (“3 victims down” according to an initial 9-1-1 call) on Wade Road in the Garberville area. Sheriff, fire, and ambulances responded. Two victims were eventually located and transported by ground ambulance to Garberville Airport, from which REACH air ambulance was flying them to an unknown destination for treatment.
The incident was carried on the South Humboldt feed, and there is still intermittent radio traffic about it there. Radio traffic hasn’t indicated if a third victim has been found or where the shooting occurred, and comments suggested that the victims weren’t providing much information. It wasn’t clear whether they couldn’t or wouldn’t.
