McKinleyville Shooting Update: A “primary” suspect has been detained by HCSO in the 1700 block of Stromberg in Arcata.

McKinleyville Shooting Update: Multiple law enforcement agencies have a vehicle stopped and a suspect at gunpoint at Alliance and Spear Avenue in Arcata. Law enforcement has been following up on multiple pieces of information which indicated that the suspect was located in Arcata.

McKinleyville Shooting Update: The victim is being transported to the hospital by Arcata Ambulance. A possible suspect has been identified as well as a vehicle with associated license plate number.

McKinleyville Shots Fired: In the area of the intersection of Reasor Road and Central. A caller reported hearing shots fired. An additional caller reports that a male is possibly shot. A vehicle was seen fleeing towards Central. HCSO is now on scene with a confirmed gunshot victim in a field and deputies are applying tourniquets. Fire and medical are responding. Still gathering information.
