They will be needing CHP when they can get there. The veh is not reported stolen, registration database temporarily unavailable. For CHP’s determination, advise them the veh rolled into a ditch onto its side, deputies have righted it onto its wheels still in the ditch, and no property damage other than to the veh itself.

Eureka Water Rescue, Woodley Island, EPD on scene w/subject in the water, apparently attempting to swim toward the Amphitheater on Waterfront, HumBayFire full response, HumBayFire units to both the Amphitheater and to the Island; Coast Guard is staging, City Amb responding and HCSO notified

HCSO unit just reported “Code 4, suspect in custody.” [No location or other info was broadcast, but likely it’s the guy from the pursuit… nothing else has been going on on their radio channels]
