LoCO’s daily Instagram battle ran from March 2015 to June 2016. Instagram no longer serves the photos, so what’s left is who posted, when, the votes and the captions.
Voting is closed.
Think Humboldt County is beautiful? Got Instagram on your intelligent phone? Use #HumboldtCounty to place an image here and (temporarily) on LoCO’s homepage. Or just vote on your neighbors’ fine pics below. More details here.
REMINDER: Not everyone whose photo appears here necessarily knows that they’re playing our game, right? Remember that.

Truth can be likened to the bright moon in the sky. Words, in this case, can be likened to a finger. The finger can point to the moon’s location. However, the finger is not the moon. To look at the moon, it is necessary to gaze beyond the finger." • -Hui Neng • •

Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. And you, my father, there on that sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light." • -Dylan Thomas • •
