LoCO’s daily Instagram battle ran from March 2015 to June 2016. Instagram no longer serves the photos, so what’s left is who posted, when, the votes and the captions.

11:21 a.m.: Good morning everyone 😊 I took this yesterday on a quick hike after school. When you live just outside of a temperate rainforest like I do, you can't let rain be an excuse to stay inside! In fact, hiking on rainy days is the best time because you'll see neat little fungus such as this one 🍄 its so adorable ❤️ #collegeoftheredwoods #humboldtcounty #northerncalifornia

8:10 a.m.: Although it isn't the greatest shot, I believe I finally found some ceratiomyxa fruticulosa. It was raining, and this was growing on the underside of a log, it was just in an awkward spot. Now, I'm no slime mold expert or anything, so please feel free to correct me if I identified this wrong. #slimemold #slimemould #ceratiomyxa #ceratiomyxafruticulosa #macro #upclose #humboldtcounty #natureseekers
