LoCO’s daily Instagram battle ran from March 2015 to June 2016. Instagram no longer serves the photos, so what’s left is who posted, when, the votes and the captions.

9:40 a.m.: Humboldt Redwoods State Park. There is something incredibly humbling and magical standing among these old giants. The story of these slow growing trees highlights the brevity of our time on this earth, and our staggering destructive prowess. Turn-of-the-century logging saw us cut down over 90% of the costal redwoods, erasing 1000s of years of growth in the blink of Mother Nature's eye. @ecrames1 #humboldtcounty #california #nature #explorecalifornia #photooftheday @savetheredwoods @redwoodnps @nature_org
