12:30 p.m.: Lounging in the root cluster of the Dyerville Giant, once crowned the tallest tree in the world at 362 feet before it fell in a thunderstorm in 1991. The sound of it crashing to the earth could be heard for many miles all around, with local residents mistaking it for a train wreck. The tree is no less impressive in its horizontal state, however. Its trunk is 17 feet in diameter and it's thought to be 2,000 years old!
