LoCO’s daily Instagram battle ran from March 2015 to June 2016. Instagram no longer serves the photos, so what’s left is who posted, when, the votes and the captions.
Voting is closed.
Think Humboldt County is beautiful? Got Instagram on your intelligent phone? Use #HumboldtCounty to place an image here and (temporarily) on LoCO’s homepage. Or just vote on your neighbors’ fine pics below. More details here.
REMINDER: Not everyone whose photo appears here necessarily knows that they’re playing our game, right? Remember that.

10:43 a.m.: Clavariadelphus truncatus, a club coral fungus found scattered in coniferous duff. I'd never seen one in the forest before until last week. Simple, unbranched, and more or less pinkish brown. Edible and delicious when sweet, Aurora says it can be sautéed and served for dessert! #fungusamongus #mushrooms #mycophile #mycology #fungus #shroomatnoon #fungi #mushroomlover #pnw #humboldt #norcal #upperleftusa #pnwcollective #pnwonderland #humboldtcounty #forest #forestfinds #northcoast #fungiaffair #mushroomspotting #mushroomhunting #allthemushroomhashtags #clavariadelphus #clavariadelphustruncatus #clubcoral #clubcoralfungus #ediblemushrooms #clubcorals #foraged #wildfoodlove
