10 a.m.: I laid in bed watching Netflix till 3:30 yesterday before finally deciding to get up and head out on an adventure. From bed, I picked a spot on the map (South this time!) as my destination. It was a 150 mile scenic drive along Mattole Road out of Ferndale. It was seriously some of the prettiest vistas I had ever seen and it was beautifully foggy throughout. On top of all the astonishingly gorgeous views, I saw horses, cow, deer, turkey, and zebras (petted the zebras)! The loop ended through Humboldt Redwoods State Park, unfortunately it was dark, but that would have been amazing to see too. I will just have to give it another run.
