Alice in Wonderland (1951)
In this classic Disney rendition of Lewis Carroll’s mathematics woven stories “Through the Looking Glass” we meet Alice, a day dreaming young woman who finds a certain level of boredom in learning poetry and literature. During one of these poetry lessons Alice spots a very curious White Rabbit claiming to be late. In an attempt to inquire about it she finds herself falling down the rabbit’s hole and ending up in a simply impassible land of imagination and wonder. Now stuck in a dream world of Wonderland she must venture on through the unknown roads order to get home. In he travels she grows and shrinks, meets a lynguistic hookah smoking caterpillar, listens to the philosophy of the Chesire Cat, hears tales of The Walrus & The Carpenter, celebrates her unbirthday, and even plays a quite unfair game of croquet with the Red Queen.
