Chain Making Workshop

A for anyone that would like to expand their metalsmithing skills to include handmade chain.

This is a beginning workshop. Basic skills like sawing, filing, and sanding are helpful, but not required.

Our resident metalsmith, Erin Austin, will guide you through:

*Safety and PPE (personal protective equipment)
*Soldering chain
*Cold Connection chains
*Incorporating your clasp into the design

Students will leave this workshop with a number of samples and the know how to create unique handmade chains. We will be working in copper and brass, but all skills will translate to sterling silver.
