Contain Yourself: Self Portraits in a Box Art Workshop with Ruth Davis

The Makers’ Space

How do we see ourselves? How do others see us? What sparks our hearts? What matters most? In this one-of-a-kind class, we will begin with several warm up practices before engaging in the exploration and expression of our true selves. We’ll collage images, words and decorative materials to create a container that reminds us who we really are.

While all materials and supplies are provided, students are encouraged to bring any papers, images, photos, souvenir ephemera, fabrics, decorative trims, doodads, and other embellishments that represent your life. Also, please bring any old magazines to share
