Elements of Art: Afterschool Art Classes for 2nd-6th graders

Join Arcata Recreation this new school year beginning Wednesday, September 9 for Elements of Art, an afterschool art enrichment class for 2nd through 6th grade students. Engage in new art techniques and concepts such as bookbinding, papermaking, ceramics, drawing, sewing, digital arts and more. Learn about art history, as well as contemporary and local artists and participate in community art projects and contests. Elements of Art classes offer a new theme each month. Fees: $50 for a 5-Class Pass or Drop-In for $12/class. Location: Arcata Community Center’s Teen Room, 321 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway in Arcata.
