Escape From L.A. (1996)

It’s been 16 years since Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) helped the President escape from New York and as times change, so do Presidents. With strong new laws in an atmept to be morally superior there shall be no consumption of red meat, no freedom of religion, no unapproved marriages, and no smoking. After an earthquake hits LA, leveling the city and leaving it surrounded by water the new President ships all criminals to the city of angels only to have it be taken over by anarchist revolutionary Cuervo Jones. After Cuervo uses the Presidents daughter Utopia to steal a device that controls an EMP weapon system. The new President calls on Snake to rescue his daughter and take back the weapon before it’s too late. Also starring: Steve Buscemi, Bruce Campbell, Pam Grier, and Stacey Keach.
