Humboldt Green Week: World Famous 7 Year Anniversary

Arcata Theatre Lounge

Eprom is one of the vibrant West-Coast scene’s most colourful characters and an important cog in the international Rwina machine. He’s a consummate post-millennial producer, and his sound varies from toxic hip-hop to searing garage mutations to bizarre concoctions somewhere in between. His beats jiggle and drip and contort wildly, always in some perpetual state of melting, churning, and mutation. He’s had releases on Warp, Surefire, and Bristol-based Bad Acid, but it’s his Rwina releases that have been the most visible and enduring, whether it’s the timestretch torture and fierce melodic geysers of “Humanoid” or deconstructionist mayhem of his “Pipe Dream” EP, where dubstep and grime collide for a staggering beast that shakes off heavy blotches of radioactive fluorescent sludge with every beat that lands. His live sets are something to behold as well, emphasizing the hip-hop roots that lurk underneath his sewer beats, and an hour of EPROM is bound to turn your brain into to the same sort of goo that gums the gears of his distinctive beats.

Grenier

With his roots as a pioneering producer and dj of the American underground bass music subculture, Dean Grenier (f.k.a. DJG) continues his musical evolution into new techno-infused architectural landscapes as “Sister City” along with comrades Hej Fund and EPROM.

Riding off the momentum of singles on Tectonic, Symbols, Photek Productions, Brownwood and more, as well as albums “Voids” and collaborative project with avant-garde jazz trio Archie Pelago, Dean shows no signs of slowing down creatively with the 2015 launch of the label and production outfit Sister City.

Grenier’s DJ sets reflect a focus on a techno & bass music hybrid for which his recent production explorations have become known. His DJ talents have brought him all over the world, including the legendary club Fabric in London and numerous tours around Europe and North America.

Mr. Bill

The Mr. Bill project is based on evocation, I like to write music that excites the ear and the brain. This requires me to explore a vast range of strange production methods and musical theories to keep exciting my senses. The best way to describe the music associated with this project is a mix of unlatched, glitchy breakbeats, heavy, swung-out bass lines and flawless edits with a large dash of palatable melodic content.

Danny Corn

Danny Corn lives on the vanguard of electronic music. As a DJ, he is known as an instrumental player in the formation of the west coast sound and over the years has traveled extensively and played with just about everybody who has made moves in the scene. A champion of syncopated, bass heavy music, Danny Corn rides the edge of experimental sounds, whilst staying firmly committed to the dancefloor. A recent move to Portland, OR has found Danny Corn taking time to channel all of his experience into music production. His current sets are a eclectic mix of originals, exclusives and personal favorites.
