Ocean Night
Join Surfrider Humboldt and the Cal Poly Humboldt Office of Sustainability for a special screening of the award-winning documentary, “The Cigarette Surfboard”!
This event is part of the 10th Annual Zero Waste Conference.
“The Cigarette Surfboard” follows surfer and designer Taylor Lane, who built a functional surfboard from 10,000 discarded cigarette butts. The film documents his journey as he uses this powerful conversation-starter to explore ocean conservation, plastic pollution, and activism around the globe.
🌊 SPECIAL GUEST 🌊 We are thrilled to announce that the filmmaker, Ben Judkins, will be joining us in person for a live Q&A session after the film!
This is a perfect evening for anyone passionate about surfing, our local coastlines, and finding solutions to plastic pollution.
