Om Shala Movie Night: Mysore Yoga Traditions
***Due to popular demand, we’ve decided to hold another public screening of our documentary at Om Shala!***
Mysore, India is the birthplace of modern yoga. This film is an intimate inquiry into the philosophy and cultural evolution of yoga. Much has been said about yoga in the west. Now, the yogis of Mysore-the stalwarts of this sacred art- speak freely about their own vibrant legacy. In April 2016, Joey and Kelly, stewards of Om Shala, traveled to Mysore to co-produce this bold and visually stunning film, which is now beginning to make waves in the worldwide yoga community. The film also provides an unprecedented glimpse into the teachings of Sri BNS Iyengar, Joey and Kelly’s primary teacher. The film will be followed by a short discussion/Q&A session and free movie snacks will be provided!
