JULY 12…9PM…$8…21+ PATTERN IS MOVEMENT (Philly Math-Pop) NEIGHBORS (Arcata Prog- Fables) WRECKS GOLIATH (Arcata Garage-Pysch) Back after much acclaim, Pattern is Movement! PIM consists of an innovative pair of friends, Andrew Thiboldeaux and Chris Ward, from Philadelphia with a constant creative craving. The Artful Philadelphia-bred duo melds traces of glitchy chamber pop, replete with warm keyboards and billowing walls of well-orchestrated sound. Rich layers of antique-inspired accents, erratic and driving drums, and sweetly double-tracked vocals are wound tightly together at a consistent and energetic pace. Neighbors are a tenured local band that create driving Prog Rock, with striking keyboards and spastic drums. They tell autobiographical stories and historical fables in their songs, most notably, a lesson in helicopter piloting. Wrecks Goliath is a new formation of Arcata rockers that sound like a revamped, melodic Jefferson Airplane.
