Savage Henry Comedy Presents

Six Rivers Brewery

Oh my! Santa must be a two-pump chump, because Christmas has come early for you folks!

Join us, as we welcome Sam Tallent to Six Rivers Brewery! Thursday, December 19th @ 8:30pm. You might remember when he came out to Humboldt for the first ever S.H.I.T.s & Giggles Festival, well this time he’s bringing a few Denver comics with him!

Joining Sam will be his fellow Colorado comics, Nathan Lund, Aaron Urist, and Tobias Livingston. Also jumping in that car as it passes through SF, our friend David Gborie - he just can’t get enough of Humboldt County!

Local comics and/or contributors to Savage Henry : Ivy Vasquez, Ray McMillin, and Dr. Foxmeat will join the evening, hosted by our very own Joe Deschaine!

That’s a lot of quality comedy for only $5. See you there!

Wanna know more about the visiting comics?
- Here’s some stuff I found about them on the internet!
- #copyandpaste

- Sam Tallent is a comedian from Denver, Colorado. The Denver Post called Sam the surreal voice of an absurd generation and the Denver Westword said that he had the best comedy moment in Denver in all of 2012 . An alt-comic road dog in the vein of Kinane and Stanhope SF s courtingcomedy.com , Tallent has performed all over at places like the SF Punchline, the Creek and the Cave NYC, the Laughing Devil, the San Francisco Comedy and Burrito Festival and the New York Television Festival, as well as clubs and colleges across the Mid- and Southwest.

- Nathan Lund has performed the glorious art of stand up comedy for almost nine years. He has performed all over the country and has worked with a whole bunch of talented comedians, including Doug Stanhope, T.J. Miller, Kyle Kinane, and Steve Byrne. Nathan is a regular at the Denver Comedy Works, and his comedy group the Fine Gentleman’s Club just recorded a live album there on Hot Congress Records.

- Aaron Urist is a Denver based comedian, writer, and co-owner of a Subaru outback. A rapidly developing fixture of Denver’s flourishing comedy scene, he has opened for some of today’s most talented stand-ups, such as Ben Kronberg and Adam Cayton-Holland. A nationally touring feature, he can be seen at clubs, bars, and independent venues across the United States.

- David Gborie comes to party. He’s been telling jokes all over the country for a couple of years now and he is, in his words, “Pretty legit at it.” He currently lives in San Francisco where he is a member of Sylvan Productions and can be seen around town lurking at one of their many shows. As a perfomer he’s appeared at The San Francisco Comedy and Burrito Festival, SF Indie Fest, The Seattle International Comedy Competition, SF Sketchfest, Denver’s Too Much Funstival, as well as the SF Punchline, The Denver Comedy Works, and several other places you’re not cool enough to have heard of yet. He also co-hosts the popular podcast ‘Blackstronauts‘ with OJ Patterson. Dude is bout it bout it.

- Dr. Foxmeat is a riddle tangled in mystery inside an enigma wrapped in bacon and dipped in tree butter. If you’ve seen this man don his wizard cape and grace a stage with the music of “The Hand of Dr. Foxmeat Paints a Monochromatic Rainbow”, then you have no doubt that when he stands in front a microphone without instruments, the magic still gets conjured. My inspiration for the flyer, I haven’t met anyone who rivals this man’s passion for Nintendo.

- Ivy Vasquez is like one of those weird clouds that comes out of nowhere and rains on your pity party; she brings the comedic thunder! A friend of Savage Henry magazine, and an integral part of Humboldt’s comedy scene, Ivy knows how to make an awkward moment into a rockin’ good time!

- Ray McMillin, regular contributor to Savage Henry magazine, and new to the Humboldt comedy scene, but he’s been making people chuckle in Portland for years… as a stripclub DJ! Do I really need to say anything else?

- Joe Deschaine … don’t act like you don’t know who Joe Deschaine is. (He’s that guy that you voted off during the Mr. Humboldt pageant. You know… the only scrawny AND pasty one that was up there.)
