Sustainable Futures Speaker Series

As part of the Sustainable Futures Speaker Series, Dr. Philip Garone presents “California Wetlands – Two Centuries of Loss and Recovery: Lessons From the Central Valley.” Garone is an associate professor of history at California State University Stanislaus. He holds a Ph.D. in history and an M.S. in ecology from the University of California, Davis. His current research focuses on the responses of public lands management agencies to climate change, and on a variety of Western water resource issues. The Sustainable Futures Speaker Series is presented by the Environment & Community Graduate Program and the Schatz Energy Research Center. The presentation will take place in Gist Hall 218 on the HSU campus.
