Access Humboldt’s BOLDtFEST came to KHUM with executive director Christina Marie Jeffers, who walked Jordan through a year of turning local scripts into short films. Seven finished films premiere Friday, October 16 at the Eureka Theater, doors at 6 p.m., preceded by two student shorts from Eureka High. Christina talks about filmmakers working guerrilla-style after losing their building, why she let them choose their own tools, and how collaboration, not competition, raised everyone’s game.

Listen below, then find the full lineup, times, and tickets on the LoCO Lowdown event page. The after-party with Camo Cowboys and Cowtown Sound kicks off around 9 p.m. at the Historic Eagle House - both bands’ music is featured in film submissions. Script submissions for Year 2 open in November.
