California is a big beautiful mess of a place, and you can get almost anything you want out of it. Snow. Desert. Ocean. Lake. Mountain. Metropolis. Town. Suburb. Farm. Ranch. Altiplano. Name any landscape except “jungle.” We got it.

So what’s your favorite county in California? Except for “Humboldt,” because otherwise everyone would just pick Humboldt. And actually, now that I think about it, also except for any Humboldt-like county that immediately borders us, too, because then you’ll just prove your Humboldtness by picking one of those.
