Seems like every time the Sheriff’s Office raids an unpermitted cannabis grow, the Facebook comments start rolling in. 

“I feel so much safer now. Lol.”

“Oh my goodness leave the cannabis plant alone.”

“I’m sure there’s not anything better the sheriffs office could be doing with their time and resources.”

Which — sure, LoCO gets it. But then again, doesn’t not busting anyone mean that there is pretty much no industry at all? The only reason there was any industry in the Emerald Triangle to begin with was that it was a good place to hide, right? Prohibition enforced scarcity. We’d sacrifice a couple dozen of ourselves to prison every year so’s that the rest of us could profit.

In this day and age, the regulatory system does the same, to a certain extent. Not as well. But if unpermitted grows were free to spread all across the land, that would really ruin the market. And also take an environmental toll, of course.

So: Time to put your money where your mouth is. Do you really think that they should stop busting unpermitted cannabis grows?
