Slow down and use caution while traveling.

The latest road conditions for the state of California can be obtained by calling 1-800-GAS-ROAD.

DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Wet snow above 2500 feet. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches at Berry Summit on Hwy 299 this afternoon. Additional snow accumulations of up to 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE…Northern Humboldt Interior County.

* WHEN…Until 4 PM PST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* Additional Details…Snow levels are mainly around 3,000 feet this morning, but local areas near the Hwy 96 corridor and near Trinity county may be lower. Snow levels are expected to fall through the day to around 2000 feet.
