According to Del Norte Co. Sheriff’s Dept., apparent escape artist and suspected armed robber Zachary Scott felt the long arm of the law early this morning when Curry County and Brookings law enforcement were able to nab the slippery fellow.

This morning at 6:00 am Zachary Scott the suspect in the robbery of the Subway in Crescent City was arrested in Curry County by the Curry County Sheriff’s Office with help from the Brookings Police Department after a short pursuit near Whaleshead. Scott was taken into custody without incident and will be brought back to Del Norte County to face charges.

This manhunt for Scott has been the culmination of a lot of hard work by Humboldt Sheriff’s Office, Eureka PD, Arcata PD, Crescent City PD, Del Norte County District Attorney’s Office, California Highway Patrol, Yurok Tribal Police, Curry County S.O. Brookings PD and the U.S. Marshalls Office. I wish to thank them all.
