According to a Cal Fire spokesperson, the Green Fire started after 1:30 this afternoon near Somes Bar in the Six Rivers National Forest. Quickly it blew up to 150 acres.
Caltrans says that State Route 96 has one way controlled traffic at various locations from 4.5 miles east to 5.2 Miles east of the Humboldt/Siskiyou Co. line due to this wildfire.
The tight-knit community in the area is using the Salmon River and Orleans Complexities Facebook page to keep information flowing.
