On September 23, 2013 Officers with the Trinity County Narcotics Task Force, Department of Fish and Game and the California Highway Patrol served a search warrant on private property in Weaverville, CA.  Officers detained six people when they entered the property, the six individuals claimed to be workers hired to trim and process the marijuana. Officer’s located 373 growing marijuana plants and 40 pounds of processed marijuana. It was determined that the marijuana cultivation operation was grown for the purpose of sales and all six subjects that were earlier detained were arrested and booked into the Trinity County Jail.  Officers on scene located a damned up creek on the property that was being used illegally to draw water to the marijuana plants. Officer’s also located garbage on the property along with a make-shift outhouse that was next to the creek.

Individuals caught in private marijuana gardens claiming to be hired to trim and process marijuana will be charged with cultivation and production for sales. [Emphasis added.]
