Hey, we have a couple of important updates relating to LoCO Elections!

First, and most exciting: Welcome to the Electionator’s new campaign finance visualizer, which has been brought to us by former Humboldter John Osborn, a dataviz whiz currently working out of the Bay Area.

Thanks to Osborn, we can, with a click, zip through each candidate’s total donations, total expenditures, their war chest, their top donors, etc. You’ll get a handy graph and/or chart when appropriate. 

Now, please note that the data here is kinda old. It dates back to March 17 of this year. But we’re rolling out this baby now because we want you to get a feel for it in advance of May 22, when the next round of candidate finance disclosure statements are due. We’re going to update this thing with the new data — the most comprehensive pre-election data — and it’ll be your go-to spot to get a grip on who is giving what to whom.

Second: Um, candidates? It’s been a while since any of you have checked in. We know all y’all are real busy, but please note that there are a whole new slew of pretty good questions from the audience. Check ‘em out and see if any of them tickle your fancy.

And, hey. Psssssss. Confidential to missing candidates “V.B.” and “R.S.” — what are you afraid of? C’mon in — the water’s fine! There’s still plenty of time to get your account and take some questions from constituents. Gotta act now, though!
