PREVIOUSLY: No, the Humboldt County Jail is Not on Fire

LoCO received an email from Humboldt Bay Fire a few minutes ago letting us know that they, along with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, would be staging another drill at the Humboldt County Correctional Facility starting at about 9:30 a.m. today.

“This drill will be similar to the ones conducted last month. Light smoke may be visible from the upper stories,” saith the email.

So now you know: No one in the jail is on fire. Remain calm.
