You know, we coastal dwellers have it pretty sweet. Earlier today, the local tentacle of the National Weather Service announced that NorCal will be a-scorchin’ this week with high temperatures climbing well into the 100s across the interior valleys. That sounds horrible. Very horrible.

Oh, they also noted that temperatures on the coast could reach record highs. And they did. As just announced on the NWS-Eureka Facebook page, Eureka hit 74° today (UPDATE: 77°!), obliterating the previous July 28 record of 69° which was last reached in 2000. And it’s nice out today. Very nice.
