One lane of Eureka’s Seventh Street is currently closed, after a rush-hour smash at the corner of H.

According to Officer Tim Cooper of the Eureka Police Department — who spoke with the Outpost’s Andrew Goff at the scene — the gray car above was headed south on H Street, stopped at the red light. When the light turned green, the driver proceeded through the intersection, where it collided with the red car, which was traveling east on Seventh. There were no serious injuries, but the one of the gray car’s female occupants was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
