Painting by HSU student Shane Donaldson.

These paired pony paintings were purportedly purloined from Humboldt State University’s Art Building over the weekend, according to a post on the Art Department’s Facebook page

The wood-panels paintings measure two feet by three feet, according to Trent Franks, a friend of artist Shane Donaldson. Franks tells the Outpost the paintings were stolen late Sunday night off the wall in the hallway of the university’s main art building.

Both the Art Department and the artist are asking for help recovering the stolen work. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Art Department at 826-3813 or email Donaldson at sjd331@humboldt.edu.

Note: This post has been modified from its original version, which claimed in the headline that the paintings depicted horses. Upon closer inspection, we at the Outpost are not sure what those creatures are, besides stolen.
