UPDATE, 8:20 p.m.: The Camaro has been located near the corner of D and Long streets. EPD Captain Brian Stephens tells LoCO that the driver sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound and somehow transported himself to the hospital.
Law enforcement is searching for the other vehicle in the case, a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee, which should have major rear end damage.

Original Post: Eureka Police officers have taped off Carson Street between H and I streets after what appears to be multiple collisions between a Camaro and a Jeep. At some point witnesses at the scene say a single shot was fired by one of the drivers in what seems to be a road rage situation. One lane of I street is currently blocked off while officers gather evidence.
Officers are reportedly also staged at D and Long streets where one of the vehicles has been located.
LoCO‘s Hank Sims is at the scene. We’ll update this post as we know more.
