UPDATE, 11:31 a.m.: The Outpost spoke with Fortuna Union High School District Superintendent Glen Senestraro who confirmed this morning’s lockdown. Senestraro said a student had been threatening violence on campus but left campus soon after. Both schools went on lockdown as a precautionary measure.
Senestraro said he was not sure if the student was armed or not, but he assured us that school would carry on today in as normal a fashion as possible. Brief post from Fortuna High’s Facebook page, below:
We had a brief lockdown this morning due to a student threat of violence. We were in lockdown for approximately 15 minutes. The threat is over and school is resuming as normal.
